I have a fingerless glove pattern using Bernat super soft bulky yarn. This yarn suggests using an 8mm hook. I cannot find an 8mm hook. Every store I have checked only carries either 6 or 9. How would I adjust the pattern if using a size larger hook? If it helps, the pattern is for ages 6 to 8.

Crochet dude soft grip hooks L its available at Michaels craft stores

Clover reflections L crochet hook.. its sold in a three piece hooks set ( K,L,N)
its a great investment, theyre available instore at ac moore 22.99 retail,, *BUY it when there;s 50% or higher percentage to get great savings..
other then that you can buy the hook set on overstock.com or knitters review
jimmybean wool or amazon..
another good brand is skakel addi, these are specialty hooks sold at small yarn shops non box brand type..
avoid inline crochet hooks, those are flat tipped hooks ,those tend to fray the yarn..
