Can somebody please help me? I'm new to crocheting (haven't even started a project yet....still in the practcing stiches stage), but wondering if I can substitute one kind of yarn for another similiar kind? The project I want to make calls for Rowan brand cotton glace and I can't find it anywhere and can't find anything online that tells me enough about the yarns to make an informed decsision about using a different brand/type of yarn. It's a summer top, so I want something light weight, and cotton if possible. I was hoping to go buy some yarn in the next couple of days to start the project, but want to make sure it will come out like the pattern states. I know I can buy it online, but not real willing to wait days or weeks for something to be shipped to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
