In need clarifacation of pattern instructions

the pattern says "working in back lps of last row and in bottom lps on opposite side of starting ch at same time, ch 1 sc in each st acrosws, turn"

This is for a kitchen towelwith cotton 2 ply yarn

i am using peqaches aqnd cream brand and f hook

I have the exact wording on my pattern,same problem. my pattern starts as * ch of 61 turn sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each across,turn (61sc). Row 2-Working in BACK LPS of last row and in BOTTOM LPS on opposite side of starting ch at same time, ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.----so I am lost. Please help!!

It's a bit difficult to understand what's going on without more context. With the information you did provide, it sounds like you already worked at least a few rows and have some length of fabric. I'm guessing you fold the fabric (horizontally) so you can hold the beginning behind the current row, CH 1, then work SC by inserting your hook into the back loop of the stitch on the current loop AND the remaining loop of the stitch of the beginning row, repeat across the row - this would "seam" the two rows together.

I don't know how this would fit into making a kitchen towel. Does it make sense to you? If not, can you post more of the instructions, especially the rows before this one? (If you got the pattern online, what is the URL?) Maybe then we can see what is supposed to happen and advise you better.
