OK, I'm about to go crazy trying to figure out what stitch this is...Have looked at every book, can't find it. I see that I can't post a picture here??, so I will attach a link to see photos of it. There are 2 pics, sorry for the quality of the first one..Second one is better..You have to scroll down and look on the right to see the second one:

The stitch may be upside down...not sure if that helps.
I'm a desperado!! :)
Thanks in advance for your help!

Glad to see that you haven't given up on the site, Dorothy. I got a note from Mary at CYCA and she says they are doing their best to keep ahead of the spammers, but some of them are very clever.
I hope you are also reporting every one that you see. It's a bit of a pain, but I think the site is worth saving.
Of course, this site sees fewer and fewer questions as well. Newbies must be directed elsewhere.
Do you visit other crochet sites regularly? I know you have quite a stash of instructional websites. Any particularly good forums or tip-sharing sites that you like?
I'm on Ravelry (along with half a million other people), but I find that the major forums have such a mix of good and bad advice and that the topics turn over at such a rapid pace that one would have to be on 24/7 to keep up.
Stitch
If I were to make these stitches >
I would use a large Hook and make long hdc stitches.
This gives an open lacy look !

Looks like a row of what's referred as the 'granny' st (3dc in the same ch, skip 2chs, 3dc in the next ch).
You'd have to start off with a chain length that's a multiple of 3+1
Thanks, Alex.
Hi Alex,
I wasn't offended, just confused! I figured out what you were saying and posted to the other site. Yes, there seems to be a really bad amount of spam on this site.
I appreciate your help!

I meant that you have to register at the page by page site (where I DID answer your question as promised). It was a courtest heads-up. Sorry if you are offended, but if you had been a regular at these forums you would understand our dissatisfaction with this site.

What do you mean I have to register to post?? I don't understand that....I DID register, that's how I posted???
Meanwhile, if anyone could please help me with my original question, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

You will have to register to post, but it is not invasive; just for security reasons. And it is WELL monitored to prevent spam.
changing sites; too much spam here
Please look for my answer at the crochet forum at www.pagebypage.com. Until the spam is cleared up here I won't answer here.
