I'm going to be moving to the Orlando, Florida area soon - probably in August - and my Google skills have so far failed to find me an established group of Warm Up America volunteers in the area. Is there such a thing I'm simply failing to find? Or perhaps another, similar charity where I could put my limited knitting skills to good use? I would be very grateful for more information, even just a nudge toward the correct place to look. Thank you!

Once you get there, if there
Once you get there, if there are stores like Michael's or JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby, you could see if they collect squares for Warm Up America. I believe you can also check this Craftyarncouncil.com website for an address to mail in squares.
If you are looking for a knitting group to meet with, you might check the list of guilds at www.tkga.com or www.stitchnbitch.org for any local groups. These groups will not necessarily be focused on knitting Warm Up America squares but it would be an opportunity to meet with other knitters.
