trouble understanding crochet pattern instructions.
A pattern for a hat says to (dc, fpdc) in same stitch. How would you do this? fpdc around the stitch just made? I can't think of any other way to do this. Am I correct?

An FPDC would be made in the stitch below because you will be wrapping around the post of the stitch instead of the top of the stitch. You may want to check YouTube or just Google for fpdc if you are uncertain how to do this stitch.
