PATTERN READS p3.p2totbl.yrn.p2. UNSURE IF I SHOULD BRING THE YARN TO THE BACK FOR THE p2totbl. IT IS FROM A BERNAT PATTERN. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP WITH THIS!

No. You bring only your right needle to the back. This is an awkward move which involves inserting the needle from left to right through the back part of the two loops. (If it feels uncomfortable, you are probably doing it right.) A google search will turn up a number of illustrations or photos.

Leave the yarn in the front until you execute the decrease then wind it around the needle as directed.

THANK YOU! i DID NOT REALIZE YOU WORKED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. THAT EXPLAINS WHY THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET IT TO WORK WAS IF I MOVED MY YARN TO THE BACK. i KNEW THAT WAS NOT RIGHT AND ENDED UP STARTING OVER.I WILL GIVE IT A TRY.
