Is it a common issue that patterns tell you to by alot more yarn than the project calls for due to dye lot issues, differences in knitting styles, et. al. or am I in a minority here. I just finished a sweater that called for 11 balls of yarn and I knit to gauge no problem, same needle size as called for, and ended up with four balls left over. It's not tragic, but it makes me second-guess myself when purchasing new yarn.
