How do you schedule your classes? (cross posted in both knit & crochet forums)

I'd love to hear how others set up their class schedules and whether you are teaching knit, crochet, or both sets of classes. I'd especially like to hear from people that are teaching the Discover program at more than one Michaels location.

In my case, I am teaching both the knit and the crochet classes, initially at one store but soon will add at least one and possibly two more locations. With the one store, I schedule a knit and a crochet class every week and in two time slots--Sunday afternoon and a weekday evening. So over the course of four weeks, each class gets offered in two possible time slots. The first two cycles, I just scheduled in the same order the classes are listed in all the program materials on the website. Most recently, I have made a point of scheduling Single Crochet and Tall Stitches two weeks apart and similarly Knit Stitch and Purl Stitch two weeks apart so that newbies would have time to complete their first project before taking the second class. I have yet to have a student take these pairs of classes in succession but it is still early days. I put the other classes in the intervening weeks.

One of the things I'm wondering is whether the introductory classes should be offered at more frequent intervals than some of the others. Perhaps some of you that started teaching the program earlier would chime in about which classes garner the most registrations.

For those that teach in multiple locations, do you offer classes every week at each location or do you rotate between them? Any advice you can offer about juggling class schedules for multiple stores would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Marian
