Material for shawl:

• 12 ozs worsted weight yarn
• 7.50 ozs of a brushed acrylic yarn
• Size 17 (10mm) knitting needles

Gauge

9 stitches and 12 rows to 4" (10cm) in stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row).

NOTE:

Work with two strands of yarn held together throughout

With two strands of yarn, cast on 64 stitches.
Row 1 (wrong side): Knit 5, purl to last 5 stitches, knit 5.
Next row (right side): Purl 5, knit to last 5 stitches, purl 5.
Continue in repeating rows 1 and 2 until piece measures 70".
Bind off loosely.
