Cuff-to-cuff: 45 1/2 (46 1/2, 47 1/2)"

MATERIALS
Approximately 530 (560, 590) yds of yarn
One size 6mm/J-10 crochet hook or size to obtain gauge
One blunt-end yarn needle

ch = chain
dc = double crochet
dec = decrease
inc = increase
rnd = round
rev sc = reverse single crochet
sc = single crochet

13 dc and 8 rows = 4"/10cm

SHRUG
Ch 37 (39, 41).

Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in every ch to end-36 (38, 40) sc. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sc in every sc to end. Ch 1 turn.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for 1". At end of last row, ch 3 and turn. (Ch 3 counts as 1st dc in next row.)

Next row: Dc in 2nd sc from the hook, dc in each sc to end. Ch 3, turn. (The turning ch counts as the 1st dc in the next row.)

Next row: Dc in 2nd dc from the hook, dc in each dc to end. (The last dc is worked into the top of the turning ch to complete the row.) Ch 3, turn.
Repeat last row and inc 1 st each side every 3rd row 8 times-52 (54, 56) dc.

When piece measures 14 1/2" from beg or the length desired, place a marker at each end of the row to indicate end of sleeve.

Work even until piece measures 16 1/2 (17 1/2, 18 1/2)" from marker or the length desired. Place another set of markers to indicate beg of next sleeve.

Dec 1 st each side every 3rd row 8 times-36 (38, 40) dc.

Work even until piece measures 13 1/2" from last set of markers or the length desired. At the end of the last row ch 1, turn.

Work sc for 1". Fasten off.

FINISHING
Block to measurements.

Sew sleeve seams from cuff to markers, or as desired.

Work 1 rnd sc around top and bottom. DO NOT TURN. Work 1 rnd rev sc.
