moogle

How do we use moogle to print off our sheets for class registrations. The person assigned to this task finds it hard to get around to it, so I'm going to start printing out my own. I'm tired of students coming into the store to register for classes and being turned away because the informaiton is not in the FES binder. I talked to my manager this afternoon ans she gave me the OK to do my own.

Granny Square Project

Does anyone else have difficulty with the Granny Throw pattern.
I learned to crochet with the granny square being demonstrated, not by a pattern, so perhaps that is part of the difficulty I am having.
I was having a hard time understanding the instruction and my student was pulling her hair out trying to deal with the instruction. I finally laid out the project and wrote on the back of her paper, Side stitches get ch1, 3dc, ch1 and Corner stitches get 3dc, ch2 3dc
Could this pattern be rewritten for easier use?

Syllabi for New Projects on Moogle as of 11/22/2011 (cross posted in Knit & Crochet forums)

I found the syllabi for the new classes on Moogle last night. At that time I still could not find registration pages. Each new project had a separate syllabus plus there are syllabi for Discover Time for Crochet and Discover Time for Knit.

Hopefully the registration pages will be up any day now and we'll be able to get in some new offerings before the January calendar is set in the Event Planner for those of us teaching in stores that have switched to that system.

One-Piece Granny Throw pattern being offered as a free giveaway

The On-Piece Granny Square Throw pattern has been sent to the stores as a free pattern giveaway in the December Month in a Box. I did not put ours out and emailed Mary at CYC about this. It doesn't seem fair give away the exact same pattern as the one we're teaching.

Cashiers Not Knowing How To Ring Up Classes

Anyone else having this problem? The other instructor for cake decorating & beading and I are getting really frustrated with the cashiers. She had a student say that they act irritated when you want to sign up. I had a lady who wanted to sign up for the purl class and they said I didn't offer it, even tho it's in binder and on the calendar.

Discouraged

Is any one else discouraged? I love teaching, but all this last minute stuff is wearing me down.

The flier we were given to print off and handout tomorrow has the front sides reversed. When you fold them the cover opens on the left instead of the right. It looks tacky, but I don't have time to redo CYCs work along with everything else they have thrown on us in less than two weeks. I am not a last minute person, and it really gets under my skin to be rushed beyond what I can humanly begin to accomplish.

Pom Pom Yarn for WUA Blocks

Yeah! My store donated Pom Pom yarn for the WUA Stitch In! Unfortunately, they did not schedule me time to figure out a 7x9 pattern, nor am I allowed to take the yarn out of the store. I have never worked with the yarn before and I expect I will be busy since I am doing both the WUA and MITI. Can anyone give a gauge guideline and stitch count for both knit and crochet?
