Have you taught 'Discover KIDS - Crochet 1'? Did you have any problems pinching the yarn and getting it into a bead? If so, how did you solve it? Did you go to a thinner yarn or solve it by another method? Did you run into any other problems? If so, what were they? I've scheduled my first 'Kids' class and am looking for any thing I should plan ahead for. Thanks for the help.

I am having a problem with the store/ company. I thought the email from Jenny said there would be a box for the squares and signage to promote this. None of which can be found by my CEM . What do I do? How are people to know about this great thing. Even when I did the kick off for this there were no signs and people were asking me were to find things and when I told them about the movement they were interested. but want to do about the donations?

I'm just starting at my local Michael's as a teacher. I just received my master teacher and all my materials yesterday to begin training to be certified. My first class is this Friday and I'm a little nervous... I know technique and how to show someone how to do crochet but I'm finding myself widely not prepared (probably more mentally than anything else) for my very first class. Can someone give me some pointers to help kind of alleviate some of my jitters? Thanks!

How many of you do this on your own time? Also how many make class hand out on their own dime?
can I do this at the store and have them pay for all hand outs?

I came into Michael's one night to teach a class and noticed all my samples have been taken off my display board. I was later told that the ceo doesn't want any "homemade" items advertosed. Anyone else run into this? I eventually found my samples shoved in a drawer in the classroom.

I have been very frustrated with the staff at the Michaels store, especially management. When I first met with them, I was so excited and they seemed to be excited also. They told me to call them to set up the demo's and when I did, they would tell me that I could do it the next week, well the next week came and they would push it to the next week until I basically just asked them to give me a date that I could do it and wouldn't take no for an answer.
